Ellison is a receptionist at Creekside Animal Clinic since July 2022. She was born and raised in Vernon. In her free time, she spends time with her dog, painting, or sightseeing around the Okanagan.

AVERY WELLS

Avery is originally from Toronto. She moved here when she was ten and quickly fell in love with the area’s natural beauty. When she’s not welcoming guests with a smile, you’ll find her riding horses, hiking with her dog, or hitting the slopes during the winter months.

BRITA (VET ASSISTANT)

Brita is a veterinary hospital assistant and has been working at Creekside since she graduated from the Centre of Arts and Technology in 2016. She is responsible for the husbandry of hospitalized patients, organization, and general clinic upkeep. When not working, Brita enjoys cozy nights in with her 4 cats, creating art, and watching documentaries.

CHARLY RANGER (VET ASSISTANT)

Charly graduated from UBCO in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. With a strong passion for animals, particularly horses, Charly is planning to attend vet school to further pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Although horses are Charly’s main interest, she loves working with all animals. When not at work, Charly enjoys traveling, hiking, paddle boarding, or riding her horse.

CHELSEA MOORE (VET ASSISTANT)

Chelsea grew up living in the lower mainland. She graduated from Douglas College in 2015 in the Veterinary Assistant program and worked on zoo animals for the Vancouver Zoo for 6 years. Chelsea and her family moved to Vernon in 2023. Chelsea loves the opportunity to learn and develop more skills. If she’s not working, she is caring for her little family. She likes to fish in the summer and read and knit in the fall and winter months.

CHELSEY LARSON

Chelsey has been working with animals for over 5 years. Born and raised in British Columbia, she embodies the BC lifestyle. If she isn’t playing with her kids or taking her 6-year-old lab Sadie hiking, she’s cozying up on the couch with her little kitty Bitty over a cup of tea and a good book. Chelsey gives completely of herself at home and in the workplace.

ELLIE RAYNER

Ellie is an equestrian from Vernon who competes in show jumping & eventing. Ellie loves working with the friendly, supportive staff who have helped her grow her passion for animal care even more. After graduating high school last year, she decided to take a gap year to focus on riding, working, and exploring her future career path. Ellie’s goal is to become a veterinarian, with a special focus on large animals, especially horses.
