REGULATED EMBRYO TRANSFER

Embryos are obtained from genetically superior females bred to superior males. All animal health procedures are conducted, and embryos are processed and frozen according to the sanitary standards of the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS). All conditions for import permits are negotiated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the importing country’s state veterinary authority.

Canadian animal health standards are among the highest in the world. Elite Canadian sheep and goat genetics are sought to establish breeding programs internationally.

Frozen embryos are a valuable commodity that may be conveniently stored on your farm or shipped to domestic or international buyers (assuming import conditions are satisfied).

Dr. Brian W. McOnie is certified in small ruminant embryo transfer by the Canadian Embryo Transfer Association (CETA) and is approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for the export of small ruminant embryos.
