Genetic Improvement through Excellent Reproductive Technology
From around our province to around our world, Creekside Animal Clinic Ltd. is highly experienced in the field of embryo transfer of sheep and goats. We have worked with breeders of elite meat and dairy goats as well as premier sheep breeders for over 20 years. Our international work has taken us to the United States, China, the Middle East and South America.
Process of Embryo Transfer
Embryo transfer is the best way to move animal genetics around your farm, or around the world, without risk of disease transmission. It can cost less to ship a tank containing hundreds of embryos than to transport a single live animal.

Regulated Embryo Transfer
Embryos are obtained from genetically superior females bred to superior males. All animal health procedures are conducted, and embryos are processed and frozen according to the sanitary standards of the International Embryo Transfer Society (IETS). All conditions for import permits are negotiated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the importing country’s state veterinary authority.
Canadian animal health standards are among the highest in the world. Elite Canadian sheep and goat genetics are sought to establish breeding programs internationally.
Frozen embryos are a valuable commodity that may be conveniently stored on your farm or shipped to domestic or international buyers (assuming import conditions are satisfied).
Our fully mobile services include:
Donor and recipient scheduling and management
Embryo storage and shipping
Local training and project support or implementation as requested
Custom import and export services to fill your specific breed requirements
